Adult Dance Classes Brisbane
“It’s perfect for those of us who dream of burning up the dance floor, but have never had the moves to back it up.” – Concrete Playground Brisbane
BRISBANE BEGINNER ADULT DANCE CLASS
The Latvian Hall
Bank Ln, Woolloongabba
With no mirrors, and dim lights, Groove Therapy runs the ultimate anti-dance class dance class. Our Brisbane beginner adult dance classes have been one of the quickest to take off and we’ve been stoked to see the Brissy beginner dance community build so quickly. Every week we’ve seen fresh new nervous faces that we’ve had the pleasure of turning around once they realise it’s not so scary.
With a boss sound system and dream floors for jamming, the Latvian Hall was a no brainer community hub for weekly classes. It’s also a mega cute little venue and we’ve book marked it as a great photo opp location FYI.
Please note that we don’t do door sales. This is because all of our dance instructors are hired to simply turn up, mark off the roll and focus on what they do best – dancing! We know that it can seem like a drag booking online but trust us, once you sign up it’s easy peasy each week. Also classes often sell-out which means we can’t legally accept extra peeps in the venue who turn up at the door. We hate awkwardness as much as you do so please don’t make us turn you away! Book online as classes will sell out.
Your Brisbane beginner dance class instructor is Wanida Serce, a female force to be reckoned with and creative director of multiple sell-out dance shows that celebrate female boss women. What we love about Wanida is that whilst she slays that female power vibe, she can hold her own whilst in battle, and she beats all the boys whilst she does it too.
Wanida is one of Brisbane’s most diverse dancers, not only as a choreographer or a freestyle dancer that throws down in battle, but also as a trained dancer. So she can basically do it all. This means that you’ve got someone with a huge dance vocabulary instructing your weekly Brisbane dance classes so you’ll never get bored learning your foundations.
Did you see how our launch party with Universal Store went down? The dim lights, no mirrors and good vibes only policy was in full force and we think it’s safe to say that class went down well.
